Al Barrak Crusher Plant - Steel & Civil Works

Complete steel structure fabrication, civil foundations, and equipment platform installation for a new aggregate crusher plant operated by Al Barrak.

Project Overview

Atlas Contracting was awarded the structural and civil works package for a new aggregate crushing facility in the Al Dhaid area of Sharjah. The project required heavy-duty steel platforms, conveyor support structures, and reinforced concrete foundations designed to withstand continuous vibration loading from the crushing equipment.

Scope of Work

  • Steel Structures: Fabrication and erection of primary crusher platform, secondary crusher support frame, screen house structure, and conveyor gallery steelwork — approximately 280 tonnes of structural steel
  • Civil Works: Mass concrete foundations for all major equipment including jaw crusher, cone crushers, and vibrating screens. Retaining walls for material stockpile areas and access ramp construction
  • Crusher Plant Construction: Installation of conveyor support structures, chute work, and walkway/access platforms with safety handrails throughout
  • Painting & Insulation: Full protective coating system on all steelwork — SA 2.5 blast, zinc-rich primer, epoxy intermediate, and polyurethane topcoat rated for harsh desert conditions

Key Achievements

  • All steelwork fabricated in our Sharjah workshop and delivered on schedule
  • Foundations completed during summer months with concrete temperature control measures
  • Zero safety incidents across the 7-month project duration
  • Plant achieved target production capacity during commissioning trials
